How to prepare for your interviews
The best interviews here are two-sided. We show up ready. We expect the same. Here's what to expect at every step.
Our process
We'll be prepared. Here's how you can be, too
01
Know Handoff.
Read the Handbook. Try the product. Come in with a point of view, not just a search result.
02
Know your work.
Expect to go deep on your best work. Showcase your context, decisions, and outcomes.
03
Show your thinking.
Show your thinking. We want to understand your reasoning, not just your conclusion.
04
Ask real questions.
Show up curious about Handoff. The questions you ask tell us as much about you as anything else in the process.
Our process
What to expect at each step
Five or six steps, two to three weeks, no dead air. You're evaluating us the whole way through.
01
Intro call · 30 min
Show up knowing why you're interested in Handoff. We'll cover the role, what we need, and your background.
02
Hiring manager · 45–60 min
How you think and operate, not a resume walk-through. Expect questions about how you solve problems and where you do your best work. Come with questions of your own.
03
Deep dive or take-home · Varies by role
Working session on past projects, a take-home built on a real problem, or both. Use any tools you want, including AI. We're grading your reasoning, so be ready to discuss it.
04
Cultural fit · 30–60 min
The most important conversation in the process. Meet our leadership. We'll be honest about what it takes to thrive here. We want you to be equally honest about what you need. If the pace here isn't for you, this is where we'll both find out.
05
References, then offer
An honest conversation with people who have worked closely with you. Once we're aligned, the offer moves in days, not weeks.
We're ready when you are
We move fast, make bets, and obsess over always raising the bar. If that's where you thrive, we want to meet you.
