Business Operations Manager at Handoff
You will be a crucial partner in enhancing our operational efficiency and fueling our growth trajectory. Your primary focus will be to analyze and improve our core business processes, providing actionable insights that directly impact productivity and profitability. You will collaborate closely with various departments and implement data-backed solutions. Leveraging your analytical skills and business acumen, you will play a key role in shaping our operational strategy and ensuring the scalability of our growing organization. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining robust reporting systems, providing critical visibility into key performance indicators and supporting informed decision-making across the company.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the COO to manage company-wide operational planning, track quarterly goals, and ensure execution of strategic initiatives.
- Lead the operational launch of our new Austin HQ, handling everything from vendor negotiations to setting up infrastructure.
- Build and maintain departmental budgets, helping control burn and optimize investments across teams.
- Support revenue forecasting and growth modeling - analyzing key metrics and helping leadership make strategic decisions.
- Develop and manage a structured onboarding process to ensure new hires hit the ground running and feel part of the team.
- Own investor reporting and executive briefings, including board decks, business insights, and performance updates.
- Plan and execute team events and offsites that reinforce culture and cross-functional alignment.
- Identify and fix operational bottlenecks across recruiting, finance, and HR.
- Act as a trusted right hand to the COO - jumping into high-priority projects and owning outcomes end-to-end.
About You
- Proven experience supporting senior leaders with reporting, strategic planning, and high-impact operational work.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including building models, managing budgets, and extracting data insights.
- Skilled in project management, capable of juggling priorities, meeting deadlines, and bringing structure to complex situations.
- Startup-minded and adaptable, energized by new challenges and thriving in ambiguous environments.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with recruiting, finance, and leadership teams.
- Experience planning events and experiences that engage teams and build company culture.
- A proactive problem-solving approach, identifying issues and taking action independently.
